Presents $5,000 to Katy ISD Sue Creech Elementary
Commissioner Meyers, staff, and members of the Fort Bend Arts Festival committee had the honor of presenting a $5,000 check to Sue Creech Elementary on behalf of Fort Bend Charities. Fort Bend Charities is a 501c3 non-profit started by Commissioner Meyers in 2003 as a way to serve residents of Precinct 3. The charity benefits several organizations and hosts the annual Fort Bend Arts Festival. The $5,000 donation will go towards the school’s visual arts and library programs as they continue to get back on their feet post-Harvey. Students and faculty modeled resilience, creativity, grit and positivity to our community while they were displaced from their campus this last year. It was a privilege to offer support & we wish them well as they head into this new school year.

Special thanks to the Fort Bend Arts Festival committee members who were unable to attend this morning. The annual Arts Festival and this donation would not have been possible without their hard work and efforts.
